What is BCAA?

BCAA has become an important supplement for athletes. We would like to explain one more time to you the effects and purposes for taking it, so that you can be informed about it. BCAA means Branched Chain Amino Acids, consisting of valine, leucine and isoleucine. They are essential amino acids and account for the largest proportion of muscle proteins.

Effect of BCAA

Training causes protein breakdowns in your muscles. Amino acids in proteins are used as an energy source, which results in their breakdown. Blood amino acid concentration levels can be increased when BCAA is ingested and when the release of amino acids is suppressed, muscle breakdown is prevented. The important point is to "prevent muscle breakdown by ingesting BCAA".

Triggering new muscle growth

Mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling is the most frequently studied topic for muscle growth. Leucine in BCAA strongly supports mTOR signaling and becomes a major trigger in making muscle.
